How did Jesus do it?

Main Course: Let us look only to Jesus, the One who began our faith and who makes it perfect. He suffered death on the cross. But he accepted the shame as if it were nothing because of the joy that God put before him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne. 3 Think about Jesus’ example. He held on while wicked people were doing evil things to him. So do not get tired and stop trying (Heb. 12:2-3). NCV

Sometimes we may wonder in our minds, in our thoughts and even ponder in our hearts, is it really possible to live like Jesus (it seems so far-fetched), and if so how did he really do it (honestly, all joking aside)? Okay here’s what I discovered in clear and simple terms, these 3 following things.

  1. Jesus renewed his mind daily with God’s Word, and even though He was the Word (Jn. 1:14). Jesus was in the flesh (Heb. 2:14-15) so he had to learn how to live a perfected life on earth (Matt. 6:10; Heb. 10:7; Josh 1:7-9; Ps. 1:3; Philip. 2:5-11).

  2. Jesus kept His spirit filled which was seen through His continuous fellowship and prayer life with the Father (Eph. 4:23; 5:18-19; cf. Jude 20).

  3. Jesus yielded His Will. And when all was said and done, he was still faced with the challenge to finish – complete the will of God (Lk 22:42; Jn 17:4; 4:34; cf. Heb 10:36).

These are foundation lifestyle choices that transform us into the image of Christ, our predestined selves (Rms 8:29-30; 12:1-2). If you remember these things you will surely be victorious and triumphant in Jesus Christ.

And because Jesus knew these three unshakable, unmovable things:

(1) Who He was - He was the Son of God, Jesus Christ the Savior of the world ; (2) Who sent Him - God, The Father, period!; and (3) His mission - born to redeem mankind and reconcile us back to the Father.

Do you have these foundation truths in your life? If you don't yet, adopted them quickly so you won't crack underneath pressure, yield to temptation or stay disconnected from the source of life.

In summary, you must know, as a born-again believer, how to identify with the life of Christ and fulfill your destiny because this is how He fulfilled His and pleased the Father.
