What we lost and seek to gain - Part IV
The work in the Spirit has already been done, but there is still an “active”, ongoing work of perfection for us to accept and receive on earth (Rms. 5:1-2; Jn. 6:29). This is easier said than done; that’s why so many fail to do so and fall by the wayside. At times, it will take all the determination, grit and crawl to not give up, not to slide back, but to keep moving forward, pressing toward the mark (Philip. 3:14; Gal. 6:9; Heb. 10:23). This is our portion, the Lord Himself; but it will not be without a fight in the flesh/natural realm (to get the soul on board, accustomed to our new life in Christ).
Since what we lost carries a significant bearing on what we pursue and that is full restoration / the fullness of God, holding fast to the Word of God (believing - trusting in God which is our strength, gaining back our eyesight/insight) becomes the central focal point of our daily lives (Ps. 27:4). cont'd...
